Introduction to the Course Syllabus

This course is designed for children growing up fast to become teenagers and going through various changes and stages with lots of questions and queries. The course covers detailed knowledge of basic Fiqh, Seerah of the prophet (s), and Islamic Beliefs. The discourses will offer a clear understanding of Dos’ and don’ts in Islam.

Course Modules

  • Introduction to the beliefs of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah.
  • Topics include Prophethood, the sahabah and their rankings, the Four Khulafa, Asharah Mubasharah, the Awliya, Mu'jizat, and Karamat, Isra and Meraj, Qada' and Qadr, Evil Eye, life after death, Barzakh, resurrection, attributes (Sifat) of Allah, and consulting the Ulama (scholars).
  • Focus on the life and characteristics (Shama'il) of Prophet Muhammad.
  • A brief overview of other prophets, including Dawud, Sulayman, Yunus, Zakariyya, Yahya, and Ayyub.
  • Detailed profiles of the four Khulafa (Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali), the Mothers of the Believers,
    and key figures in Islamic history.
  • A historical overview, including the Umayyads, Abbasids, Andalusia (Muslims in Spain), the
    Crusades, and the Ottomans.
  • Covering various aspects of Islamic jurisprudence, including types of water, impurities, and cleaning methods.
  • Discussion of maturity, Wajib acts of Salah, Jana'iz (funeral procedures), Jumu'ah Salah, Adhan and
    Iqamah, Mustahabbat, Makruhat, Sutrah, and more.
  • Detailed guidance on Salah, Zakah, inheritance, marriage (Nikah), divorce (Talaq), Buyu' (transactions), Taqlid (following a school of thought), and references from Hadith.
  • Exploring moral and ethical aspects of behavior and character.
  • Topics include oppression and bullying, envy, Ghibah (backbiting), pride, following the Sunnah, the value of time, virtues of knowledge, and the benefits of Salawat (prayers upon the Prophet) and Salam (peace).
  • Additional topics cover shortness of life, Taqwa (piety), Tawakkul (reliance on Allah), Tawbah
    (repentance), modesty in gaze, personal hygiene, and modesty in dress.
  • Emphasis on social manners, taking oaths, answering questions, using technology (mobile phones and the internet), and general etiquette for various interactions and situations.
